I’m in Whistler, B.C. and have been riding the bike park all day. Unfortunately, the bike park has completely kicked my ass. I took two nasty falls in the same spot (once before lunch, and once right after). Bent up my index finger on my left hand, so it’s sore and swollen. Have a really nasty bruise and scrape on my chest (also swollen), bit my tongue pretty good, and then took a smash to the face right through my full-face helmet. Got a nice big fat lip. I have to say that that helmet probably saved my face in a very real way. Had it not been full face, I may only have half a jaw. Whew.

It’s not so bad, but it did shake me up a bit.
I also blew the cartridge in my front fork, giving me a $70 repair bill.
However, I have to say, it’s been one of the funnest days of the year, despite a few mishaps. I’d do it all again in a second.
Can’t believe I’ll be here 3 more days.
Here’s a photo of the cliff drop I did just before hanging up the helmet for the night. It’s only about 8 feet, but it’s a blast.
